I guess a couple days before halloween is a little late to expect to see piles and piles of pumpkins at berry patch farms.  My friends claudia, lily, fiona, and dalia let me tag along on their pumpkin hunting adventure and this was practically all that was left.  It was like the charlie brown christmas tree meets halloween.

OK…I love new toys and applications as much as the next guy.  So we’re using the new Photoshop CS4 and playing with content aware scaling, etc. and all of a sudden I get the nasty warning in the screen grab below….when did we get to the point where 9gb of ram on a 2×3GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon just not enough any more?  I haven’t seen this dialogue box since I was using a quadra 650!

Scouting can be a blast.  Sometimes its nice to be out shooting images, trying to imagine how the light will be when our models are here.  measuring the light, checking the compass and clinometer.  Put a couple people in here and you’ve got yourself a cool shot.

So I’m trying to take Jay Maisel’s advice and carry my lumix around more often.  He said ‘its hard to take pictures without a camera’!  Those of you who remember the previous incarnation of this blog will remember it was my goal to shoot an image every day.  It lasted for a few years, although it proved very tough to keep up.  At some point I’ll put a link on this blog to all of those images.  This is yesterday’s attempt shot near avondale estates while biking…
