can even a normal street in a normal winter day in a normal town with normal houses and electric lines going every which way be beautiful?

here’s a fun image I shot the other night at the euclid avenue yacht club.  for those of you who don’t live in atlanta the eayc has nothing to do with boats but they do serve one hell of a hot dog….  Â

I love this time of year when the sun is so low on the horizon all day.  It made for a nice shot while I checking out the first emperor show at the high museum. Â

I’m really not a food photographer, but I’ve been known to shoot food from time to time.  we are on day 5 of looking for interesting ethnic food while counting down our friends amber and carter’s last days in Atlanta.  we took the easy road today by going to taqueria del sol for mexican.  Â

hey all you creative types.  don’t forget to head over to the whimsy press open house on thursday from 4-6pm.  I’m  partial to their great paper, cards, notebooks etc.  it’s got nothing to do with the fact that my wife, wendy, helps to run things over there, I swear!  I found this cool shot of their entourage from an older trip to the nyc gift show, where they will be representin’ again this year january 25-29.  see you there!

lumix LX3

I finally got my new walking around camera to replace the one from last week’s incident with the car.  It was a bit of a tough decision between the G10, the GX200, or the updated version of my trusty lumix.  I’ll spare you the details, but it came down to trust, and which one will easily fit into my pocket…in other words which one will I carry around more often.  As Jay Maisel says…its hard to take pictures in you don’t have a camera!  Plus if it megapixels I want I’d lust carry the mark 3!  Check out this quickie shot of our japanese maple tree…Â
