My father served aboard the destroyer USS Haraden during WWII. Â It’s always enlightening listening to his experiences during that time in our country’s history and even better to attend Memorial Day services with him.

what’s a burpee century you may ask? Â its like a squat thrust with a push-up in the middle, plus an oz of beer, one per minute for 100 minutes. Â just something those crazy folks at BTB came up with.

well done everyone who came out last night for the 12 hour relay for life event. Â it looks like $458,972.05Â was raised to fight cancer. Â A fun night was has by all at the BTB camp…you check out the rest of the photos here.

how do you create?

When you’re trying to create, whether in art or business or whatever it is that you do, do you try to focus or let your mind wander a bit until that great idea pops into your head?  For me I think its a bit of focused wandering.  I came across this interesting blog post on THE FRONTAL CORTEX questioning if using stimulants to focus and repress those wondering thoughts can actually keep that great idea from showing up.  oh…and an old, somewhat related shot about phrenology from back in the day, actually shot on 4×5 film:
